Pet Radiology & Ultrasonography

We offer non-invasive, painless technology that aids our veterinarians in the evaluation of the cardiopulmonary, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, reproductive, and urinary systems. Our digital X-rays and ultrasound machine provide a window to see what is going on inside your pet. Pregnancy exams are also available.

Our digital X-ray and ultrasound units are mobile, so we do offer X-rays for a complete lameness or pre-purchase exam and pregnancy ultrasounds in the field.

Sonography (ultrasound) is an imaging method that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of structures within the body. The most common indication in small animals has elevated liver enzymes. Other common indications include urinary tract disease, gastrointestinal disease, endocrine disease, neoplasia, trauma, fever of unknown origin, and immune-mediated diseases. Ultrasound is often used in conjunction with radiographs. Ultrasound can give more detail; think of it as a road map of a town than X-rays, which are more like a map of the country. Ultrasound can be used to help direct treatment. We are delighted to be able to offer this invaluable diagnostic tool to our patients and clients.
